Students
When students find themselves in legal trouble, their problems don’t always end in the courtroom. Mistakes can have repercussions for a student’s grades, university status, graduate school, and future career. I promise you: I get it. I understand the problems you’ll be facing, and I will work with you to achieve the best possible conclusion to your case – both in the courtroom and in the University judicial process. I’ll talk to your parents, counselors and instructors – whatever is necessary to get you through the problem you’re facing.
If you are a parent reading this: I know you’re scared, and probably feeling helpless. Most of my student clients are excellent students, great kids, who have never been in trouble before. The seriousness of the situation they’re facing is truly difficult for a young person to understand. Often times, the stress of a criminal prosecution can lead to additional mistakes and exposure. Rest assured that I will fight for your child as I would for my own. I have made it my business to know exactly the types of issues that Penn State students face, and to provide holistic solutions to legal problems.
I work closely with local drug and alcohol counseling services, as well as psychological providers and investigators. I provide advice and assistance to students throughout the Judicial Affairs disciplinary proceedings if they are charged with misconduct. When I defend a student, I care about more than just the legal outcome—I care about the whole person and their future.
